See in the New Year with a scenic cruise along King George Sound with a spectacular display of New Year’s Eve fireworks. Explore our Great Southern Region, experiencing all the historical port city of Albany has to offer on this memorable five-day tour. Venture into the Torndirrup Natural Park to see the raw and natural wonders of The Gap and Natural Bridge.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Albany (D)
Celebrate the final days of 2026 with us, we will collect you from home and transfer you to our coach to cross the Darling Ranges and travel into the heart of the Wheatbelt. Morning tea will be served at the Williams Woolshed, followed by lunch at your leisure in Mt Barker, arrive into Albany for an evening of relaxation.
Four nights: Ace Accommodation, Albany
Day 2. New Year’s Eve Cruise (BD)
Today, the Princess Royal Fortress provides a fascinating insight into Australian military history. Discover the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, take in spectacular views of the surrounding bays and explore the award-winning National Anzac Centre and then be blown away with a visit into the Torndirrup National Park, peer over The Gap and Natural Bridge as you hear the power of the almighty Great Southern Ocean. The afternoon is at your leisure, by evening prepare to board your New Year’s Eve Cruise for an evening full of celebrations. Indulge in a delicious barbecue dinner and a spectacular display of fireworks along the scenic water ways of Albany.
Day 3. Delightful Denmark (BLD)
Today we journey to the delightful town of Denmark. In the Morning we visit Recollections of War which houses thousands of photographs, uniforms and relics. After, relax into a wonderful lunch served at the Lake House. In the afternoon we visit the Denmark Good Food Factory to browse their range of confectionery, sauces and preserves.
Day 4. Darrel Radcliffe’s sculptures (BLD)
Indulge your senses and enjoy morning tea at Little Bit of Barker. Discover an extensive collection of memorabilia, heritage buildings and the picturesque gardens at Mt Barker’s Old Police Station Museum. On the return to Albany view Darrel Radcliffe’s incredible chainsaw carvings.
Day 5. Albany to Perth (BL)
Today we begin our return journey to Perth, we stop to enjoy a farewell lunch in Quindanning and upon arrival in Perth, we will see you safely home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
