Climate Action Plan

Taking practical steps today to reduce our environmental impact and build a more sustainable future for travel.

Climate Action Plan

Villa Carlotta Travel recognises that coach touring has a carbon footprint, and we're committed to reducing ours over time. This plan sets out the actions we've already taken, what's underway, and where we're heading next. Our approach is guided by our Sustainable Tourism (SUST) accreditation through the Tourism Council.

1. Our Approach

Rather than a single offset or claim, our climate approach focuses on the areas where a regional coach touring business has the greatest impact: our vehicle fleet, our office operations, and the suppliers we choose to work with. We are progressively formalising this into measurable targets over the next [1–3] years.

2. Fleet & Fuel Efficiency

Our coach fleet is the largest contributor to our operational emissions. We operate a fleet of 4 coaches and are actively working to replace older vehicles with more fuel-efficient models. The oldest coach in our fleet is due to be replaced within the next 6 months, with further vehicles to be replaced over the following 3 years. Where we hire vehicles rather than use our own fleet, particularly for interstate tours, we prioritise newer, lower-emission vehicles.
