Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Pemberton – Southern Forests Journey (D)
Depart Perth and travel south through the rolling countryside of the South West. Journey via Donnybrook Balingup Bridgetown and Manjimup with time to stretch your legs and enjoy rural scenery along the way. Arrive in Pemberton where tall karri forests and a relaxed country atmosphere welcome you for the next three nights.
3 nights: Pemberton Hotel Pemberton
Day 2. Pemberton Forests Falls and Tramway Heritage (BD)
Begin the day surrounded by nature with a visit to Beedelup Falls where water cascades through forest surrounds. Continue to the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree towering high above the forest floor. Later board the Pemberton Tramway for a scenic journey through the karri forest following historic timber railway lines. The afternoon is spent exploring Pemberton township including artscape displays heritage collections and local craftsmanship that reflect the area’s timber past.
Day 3. Donnelly River Cruise and Manjimup Heritage (BLD)
This morning enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Donnelly River travelling from forested landscapes towards the coast while learning about the region’s natural and cultural history. Lunch is enjoyed at the historic Dingup Homestead set among expansive gardens where rural life and heritage are beautifully preserved. The afternoon focuses on Manjimup with guided touring through the Timber and Heritage Park and township highlighting stories of settlement forestry and community life.
Day 4. Pemberton to Perth – Country Town Farewell (BL)
Travel north through the picturesque towns of Nannup and Balingup enjoying classic South West scenery along the way. A farewell lunch provides time to reflect on the journey before continuing to Perth where you will be met and taken safely home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access.
