Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)

Day 1. Perth to Geraldton – North Along the Coast (D)
We collect you from home and travel north to the Gravity Discovery Centre in Gingin. Continue along the coast for lunch at leisure in Jurien Bay, then travel through Dongara to Geraldton. Before checking in, visit the HMAS Sydney II Memorial overlooking the town, then enjoy dinner together at the hotel.
Overnight: Best Western Hospitality Inn, Geraldton

Day 2. Geraldton to Monkey Mia – Hamelin Pool and Shell Beach (BLD)
Continue north with morning tea along the way into the Shark Bay World Heritage Area. Enjoy lunch at Hamelin Pool, then visit Shell Beach, where tiny white shells lie up to 10 metres deep along the shore. Arrive in the afternoon at Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort and enjoy dinner together as the sun sets over the ocean.

Day 3. Monkey Mia and Denham – Dolphins and Local Stories (BD)
This morning watch the famous dolphin feeding at Monkey Mia and see these wild dolphins up close. Travel to Denham for morning tea on the foreshore, then visit the Shark Bay Interpretive Centre to learn about the region’s history, shipwrecks and unique marine life. Enjoy lunch at leisure and time for shopping in Denham before returning to Monkey Mia for a relaxing afternoon, sunset drinks and dinner.

Day 4. Shark Bay – Wildlife Cruise and Didgeridoo Dreaming (BLD)
Begin the day with a wildlife cruise on the sheltered waters of Shark Bay, keeping watch for dolphins, turtles and other marine life. Enjoy a picnic lunch and some afternoon touring, followed by an early dinner. This evening, join the Wula Gura Didgeridoo Dreaming night tour to learn about Aboriginal culture and history.

Day 5. Monkey Mia to Geraldton – Shark Bay Ocean Park Aquarium (BD)
Get a close look at the region’s marine life at the Shark Bay Ocean Park Aquarium, including loggerhead turtles, tiger sharks and sea snakes. Then head south with lunch at leisure at the Billabong Roadhouse, arriving in Geraldton for a casual dinner at the hotel.

Day 6. Geraldton to Perth – Farewell in Moora (BL)
Travel home through Eneabba for morning tea, then pass through Alexander Morrison and Watheroo National Parks to Moora. Enjoy a farewell lunch together at the Moora Historical Society before continuing to Perth, where you will be taken safely home.

Our tour activity levels are a guide to the required fitness level for each of our holidays.


Look out for the feet when reading about a tour!

  • Relaxed

    Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

  • Moderate

    For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

  • Active

    For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

  • Highly Active

    Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

  • Challenging

    For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
