Cruise the mighty Murchison River, explore dramatic gorges and sandstone cliffs and enjoy warm country hospitality throughout this refreshing coastal escape.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Cervantes (D)
We pick you up from your home and travel north to Gingin to visit the Gravity Discovery Centre. Continue to Lancelin for lunch at leisure before visiting the iconic Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre in Nambung National Park. Later, settle into Cervantes for dinner and a relaxing evening.
1 night: Cervantes Pinnacles Motel, Cervantes
Day 2. Cervantes to Kalbarri (BD)
Depart Cervantes and travel through Dongara, Geraldton and Northampton. Stop at Hutt Lagoon to admire the vivid pink hues of this unique salt lake before continuing north. Enjoy morning tea and lunch at leisure along the way before arriving in Kalbarri for dinner and a peaceful evening.
3 nights: Kalbarri Edge Resort, Kalbarri
Day 3. Murchison Cruise (BLD)
Begin the day at the Kalbarri foreshore to witness the pelican feeding. Afterwards, join the Kalbarri Wilderness Cruise for a scenic journey along the Murchison River. Take in the impressive geology, native wildlife and stories of early settlement. Enjoy a picnic lunch before an afternoon exploring the coastal cliffs and viewpoints around Kalbarri.
Day 4. Kalbarri’s Wildflowers (BLD)
Explore Kalbarri National Park with your specialist wildflower guide. Discover seasonal flowers, ancient rock formations and sweeping gorge views. Visit the spectacular Kalbarri Skywalk to take in the dramatic Murchison Gorge before enjoying lunch at the Skywalk café. Continue the afternoon wildflower search along Kalbarri’s striking coastal drive before returning to your resort for the evening.
Day 5. Kalbarri to Perth (BL)
This morning begin the journey home with a stop in Dongara for morning tea. Continue south to Jurien Bay for a farewell lunch before returning to Perth, where you will be transferred safely home.
Please note that although this is a relaxed tour, walking is required to reach some of the wildflower locations.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
