Itinerary

Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)

Day 1. Perth to Hyden – Into the Wheatbelt (D)
Depart Perth and travel into the heart of the southern Wheatbelt, enjoying changing rural landscapes along the way. Stop at historic farming areas before continuing through country towns and open farmland. Keep an eye out for early spring wildflowers as you make your way to Hyden, where you will settle in for the next three nights.
Three nights: Wave Rock Motel, Hyden.

Day 2. Wave Rock and Hyden’s Natural Wonders (BD)
Today is dedicated to Hyden’s most famous attraction. Visit Wave Rock, the remarkable granite formation shaped like a breaking ocean wave, followed by time to explore Hippo’s Yawn and the surrounding rock formations. Enjoy the Wave Rock precinct, including the visitor centre, wildlife park, Wildflower Shoppe and Lace Place. This afternoon, step back in time at Wandilla Farm Homestead, learning about early settlement life and viewing its impressive collection of handmade bricks and vintage vehicles.

Day 3. Lake Grace and the Tin Horse Highway (BD)
Travel through picturesque Wheatbelt countryside towards Lake Grace, following the wonderfully creative Tin Horse Highway. This unique roadside display showcases imaginative metal sculptures created by local farmers. Continue to nearby towns and heritage sites, gaining insight into regional life past and present, before returning to Hyden for a relaxed evening.

Day 4. Hyden to Perth – Wheatbelt Heritage (BL)
Begin the journey home through more classic Wheatbelt scenery. Visit the Corrigin Pioneer Museum to discover stories of early settlers and farming communities, followed by a farewell lunch in Brookton. Continue back to Perth, where you will be met and taken safely home.
