Begin in Geelong with waterfront strolls, cultural gems and an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit at the National Wool Museum. Travel inland to Warrnambool via the lush Otway Ranges, enjoying the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk and tastings in Timboon. Explore maritime history at Flagstaff Hill and soak up the charm of Port Fairy. Then experience the dramatic beauty of the Great Ocean Road, from the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge to the coastal towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne, before returning home with unforgettable memories.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Geelong (D)
We collect you from home and transfer you to Perth Airport for your morning flight to Melbourne. On arrival, your Coach Captain greets you for a comfortable drive to the vibrant waterfront city of Geelong. After checking into your hotel and settling in, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Two Nights: Novotel Geelong, Geelong
Day 2. Geelong (BD)
Begin the day with an orientation tour through Geelong before visiting the National Crime and Justice Museum for a private tour of this 19th century prison and hear tales of history and daring escapes. After, explore the treasure-filled Mill Markets with vintage wares, antiques and collectibles. In the afternoon we will visit the Wool Museum which explores Australia’s significant wool story. Here you will get hands-on insight into historic Australian textiles.
Day 3. Geelong to Warrnambool (BD)
Today, travel though the picturesque “lakes and crater country” of western Victoria and explore the Otway Ranges. Taking the inland route to Warrnambool, our first stop is in Colac located on the Southern shore of Lake Colac and eastern edge of the world's third-largest volcanic plain. We stop at the Otway’s inspired Colac Botanical Gardens before enjoying a scenic morning tea taking in views of Lake Colac. After our refreshment stop, we tour south through the beautiful Otway ranges known for its tall, lush rainforests and abundant wildlife. At the Otway Fly experience a bird's-eye view of the rainforest canopy on this unique 600m tree top walk. In Timboon we visit the Railway Shed Distillery to sample some of the incredible range of whisky’s, spirits and liqueurs. Finally, we travel through one of the most productive dairying countries in Australia on our way to Warrnambool.
Two nights: Mid City Motel, Warrnambool (porterage included)
Day 4. Flagstaff Hill and Port Fairy (BD)
Explore Australia’s most awarded maritime heritage precinct on an escorted tour of the Flagstaff Hill Village and Museum. Stroll the cobble-stoned streets and explore the 40 buildings and many relics from Warrnambool’s past. Enjoy time at leisure in Port Fairy to discover this charming fishing village. Wide streets, 19th century cottages, Norfolk Pines and old stone churches set the scene. Tales of the Shipwreck Coast come to life tonight when we return to Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village for the sound and light show as you join the last voyage of the historic clipper ship, Loch Ard.
Day 5. The iconic Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles (BD)
Embark on one of the world’s most iconic coastal journeys along the Great Ocean Road. Begin at the Bay of Islands and take in the dramatic sea cliffs at London Bridge and Peterborough. Stop at Loch Ard Gorge to hear the gripping tale of its shipwreck, then continue to the Twelve Apostles for awe-inspiring views.
Overnight: Sandpiper Motel, Appollo Bay
Day 6. Apollo Bay and Lorne (B)
Travel to Lorne taking in the the lush coastal landscape and visit the Heritage Centre to learn about the road’s construction as a memorial to fallen soldiers. After lunch, enjoy an easy stroll to view the Erskine Waterfalls which plunge 30 metres into a tree-fern gulley. Enjoy a scenic drive back to Geelong for your farewell dinner.
Overnight: Novotel Geelong.
Day 7. Melbourne to Perth(B)
Bid farewell to Geelong and commence the journey home to Perth with an early afternoon flight from Melbourne. On arrival, we will see you safely home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access.
