We collect you from home for your flight to Canberra. On arrival transfer to your central hotel and settle in for a relaxing evening. Enjoy dinner together and unwind after your day of travel as you prepare for the cultural treasures ahead.

Day 2. Canberra walking tour (BL)
Today a specialist local guide tells the human-interest stories of Canberra that are often untold on this captivating walking tour. After a group lunch wander the enchanting miniature world of Cockington Green Gardens where intricate buildings and landscaped scenes create a captivating attraction. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 3. National icons (BD)
Begin your day at the Museum of Australian Democracy housed within the historic Old Parliament House. Step through decades of political history and admire the beautifully preserved architecture. Continue to the National Museum to explore Australia’s stories cultures and collections. This afternoon is free for you to wander the Australian War Memorial at your own pace taking time for reflection. Conclude your day with dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4. Floriade Festival (BD)
Start your morning with a tranquil cruise on Lake Burley Griffin gliding past Canberra’s most recognisable landmarks. Afterwards immerse yourself in the spectacular Floriade Festival, the largest spring celebration in the Southern Hemisphere. Enjoy vibrant floral displays, music, entertainment, workshops and food stalls as you explore at your own pace. Return to the hotel for a farewell dinner together.
Day 5. Canberra to Perth (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Canberra Airport for your return flight to Perth. On arrival your courtesy vehicle will ensure you are returned safely to your door.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access.
