Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Hobart (D)
Fly from Perth to Hobart, where your Christmas holiday begins. On arrival, transfer to your hotel, then enjoy a welcome dinner to toast the start of your Tasmanian adventure.
Eight nights: Double Tree by Hilton Hobart
Day 2. Hobart heritage (BD)
Discover Hobart’s layered history on a day of cultural discovery. Visit the Maritime Museum of Tasmania and step inside the fascinating Mawson’s Hut Replica to experience the legacy of Antarctic exploration. This afternoon gain an insight into what convict life was like for the thousands of women transported to Van Dieman’s Land and the history that they shaped.
Day 3. Huon Valley (BLD)
This morning we venture south to enjoy the beautiful picturesque region of the Huon Valley. Discover Tasmania’s maritime craftsmanship with a guided tour of the Wooden Boat Centre, showcasing traditional boatbuilding techniques. Lunch today will be washed down with a cider tasting at Willie Smith’s Apple Shed. Return to Hobart for some free time.
Day 4. Mount Field National Park (BLD)
Head into the wilderness today for a visit to beautiful Mount Field National Park, known for its towering trees and tumbling waterfalls. Lunch is served at the scenic Salmon Ponds – Australia’s oldest trout hatchery. This evening, enjoy dinner at the Wrest Point Revolving Restaurant.
Day 5. Christmas Day (BLD)
Merry Christmas! Enjoy a relaxed start to the day calling family and friends then take a drive to Mount Wellington to admire the views of Hobart. Later, you will enjoy a Christmas Day lunch.
Day 6. Salamanca Market (BD)
Soak up the atmosphere at the bustling Salamanca Market, where artisan crafts, local produce and festive spirit combine. In the afternoon, journey to Richmond to tour the 19th-century Richmond Gaol and the intricate miniature village of Old Hobart Town, offering a glimpse into colonial life in the 1820s.
Day 7. Port Arthur (BD)
Travel through the scenic landscapes of the Tasman Peninsula on your way to the Port Arthur Historic Site, one of Australia’s most significant cultural heritage destinations. Explore the beautifully preserved grounds and gardens and deepen your understanding of the site’s history with a guided Isle of the Dead Cemetery Tour.
Day 8. Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race – the finish line (BD)

Take in panoramic views of the fleet’s arrival before heading to the lively Hobart Race Village at Constitution Dock. Enjoy the excitement of the finish line with live entertainment and vibrant celebrations by the waterfront. This evening, share a farewell dinner at the nautical-themed Drunken Admiral restaurant.
Day 9. Hobart to Perth (B)
Today you will bid farewell to your Christmas holiday in Hobart and journey home to Perth. On arrival we will see you safely home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes.
