Spend Christmas this year on a spectacular six-day tour with your shoes off on some of the whitest beaches in Western Australia. Explore the world-renowned best beaches of Esperance and the extended south coastline. Take in incredible natural wonders of the Recherche Archipelago and Hyden’s iconic Wave Rock. Enjoy all this and more, indulge with a traditional Christmas luncheon with all the trimmings with some new friends and our Villa family.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Hyden (D)
We collect you from home and transfer you to your luxury coach for your Christmas holiday. Enjoy the changing nature of the native flora as we travel through the Central Wheatbelt region to York for a delicious morning tea and visit some unique Museums in York. Lunch will be along the way as we make our way to Hyden for your first night.
Overnight: Wave Rock Motel, Hyden
Day 2. Hyden to Esperance (BD)
Today, you will see the iconic Wave Rock - one of Australia’s most famous formations. After viewing this magnificent wave-shaped rock we will head to the Wildflower Shoppe, which incorporates the Wildlife Park and Lace Place. Then it’s back on the coach, to continue our journey via the Ravensthorpe Range and the Lake King district towards Esperance. Along the way, we’ll visit Cindy Poole Gallery before arriving to the incredible Bay of Isles, where we will spend a few nights.
Three nights: Comfort Inn Bay of Isles, Esperance
Day 3. Christmas Day (BLD)
Merry Christmas! Today there will be a very special Christmas lunch for you to feast on with all the trimmings at the Esperance Bird and Animal Park. Relax in the shady trees all whilst enjoying a unique Christmas luncheon experience out in nature. Let the festivities continue as you enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 4. Recherche Archipelago cruise and Esperance Stonehenge (BD)
View the outstanding scenery of the islands of the Recherche Archipelago and look for abundant marine life on an informative scenic cruise. Experience the unique natural amphitheatre of Stonehedge, a full size replica of the UK solid granite structures. Take in breathtaking views over Esperance and the extensive south coast.
Day 5. Hopetoun (BD)
This morning, visit Hopetoun and take a short trip along the Hamersley Drive for breathtaking views of the coastline. In Ravensthorpe there is local history and beautiful silo art to uncover, by evening return to Wave Rock Motel in Hyden as we begin our return journey to Perth.
Overnight: Wave Rock Motel, Hyden
Day 6. Hyden to Perth (BL)
Experience a section of the Tin Horse Highway, visit the Dog Cemetery and Pioneer Museum. Enjoy a farewell lunch and sample gourmet delights at York Olive Oil before returning to Perth, upon arrival we will see you safely home.

Relaxed
Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

Moderate
For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
