Celebrate Christmas with us this year in the incredibly historic township of Albany. Explore the spectacular Great Southern Region on this fabulous five-day tour, cruise the tranquil waterways, explore nearby National Parks and the iconic National Anzac Centre. Stroll along the waterfront of Middleton Beach and enjoy a delicious Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Albany (D)
We collect you from home and a transfer to the coach for your fabulous holiday. Travelling South across the Darling Ranges and into the heart of the Wheatbelt. Enjoy morning tea in Williams, before we stop for lunch in Mt Baker. Arrive to Albany and settle into your accommodation for the evening.
Four nights: Ace Accommodation, Albany
Day 2. Christmas celebrations (BLD)
Merry Christmas morning! Oh what a day we have arranged for you! Begin your morning with a tour of the spectacular southern coastline and the Torndirrup National Park. View the Natural Bridge and peer over the edge at The Gap, two incredible natural rock formations that have been sculpted by the treacherous seas of the Southern Ocean. Look out to the distance and see the silhouettes of the wind farm turbines. Return to your accommodation to prepare for a festive Christmas feast and warm hospitality from the staff at Ace Accommodation.
Day 3. Mt Barker and Porongurup National Park (BLD)
Today, admire the countryside and learn the history of Mount Barker. Explore the Old Police Station Museum complex, before travelling into the Porongurup National Park to view the ancient granite domes (they rise an incredible 670 metres high). See how local artist Darrel Radcliffe gives old wood, new life and character with his chainsaw sculptures and then we visit the Torndirrup National park as we begin making our return journey.
Day 4. Anzac history and sunset cruise (BD)
Discover Australia’s first federal fortress at Mount Adelaide, then visit the award-winning National Anzac Centre. See gun pits, the underground magazine and the Australian Light Horse Museum. In the afternoon, we cruise Albany’s stunning waterways to view historic points of interest and a spectacular Great Southern sunset. Tonight, stunning Christmas light displays will illuminate Albany.
Day 5. Albany to Perth (BL)
On the homeward journey enjoy a farewell lunch in Quindanning, all aboard to relax into the coach for our return journey to Perth. Upon arrival, we will see you safely home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
