Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Margaret River – South West Flavours (D)
Travel south from Perth and begin your journey with a delightful stop at Café Cherie in Pinjarra to enjoy coffee and cake. Continue through the South West with lunch at leisure before arriving in Margaret River where you will settle in for the next four nights surrounded by vineyards forest and coastline.
4 nights: Grande Escape Resort Margaret River
Day 2. Margaret River to Augusta – Wildflowers Forests and Cape Leeuwin (BLD)
Travel with a specialist wildflower guide through breathtaking coastal and forest landscapes. Visit Surfers Point and the river mouth followed by coastal wildflower trails at Gnarabup Beach. Continue past Lake Cave viewing platform and Contos Cliffs before a scenic drive through the towering Boranup Karri Forest. Enjoy morning tea at the Boranup Café before following the Southern Ocean coastline to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where two oceans meet. Return to Margaret River via Witchcliffe with time to browse local artisan offerings.
Day 3. Margaret River to Cape Naturaliste – Homesteads Trails and Granite Coast (BLD)
Today explores the heart of the Margaret River region beginning with a Jarrah Forest wildflower trail and the historic railway trail rich with native orchids. Visit Ellensbrook Homestead the first settlement in the region and enjoy a gentle wildflower walk. Morning tea is enjoyed at Olio Bello surrounded by olive groves before continuing to Meelup Ridge for sweeping wildflower vistas. After lunch explore Cape Naturaliste wildflower walks and the dramatic granite formations of Canal Rocks before returning to Margaret River.
Day 4. Cowaramup and Dunsborough – Country Charm and Coastal Towns (BD)
Enjoy morning tea in Cowaramup where iconic cow sculptures line the streets. Browse local shops and enjoy sweet treats before continuing to Dunsborough for lunch at leisure. This afternoon stop at Simmo’s Ice Creamery for a much-loved regional treat before returning to Margaret River for a relaxed evening and dinner.
Day 5. Margaret River to Perth – Farewell to the South West (BL)
Begin the journey home with a stop for regional tastings before gathering for farewell lunch in Waroona. Continue to Perth where you will be met and taken safely home after a memorable South West escape.

Relaxed
Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
