Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Broome (D)
Fly north to Broome and feel the warmth of the Kimberley welcome. On arrival, enjoy a relaxed introduction to the town, taking in key sights before settling into your accommodation. Later this afternoon, gain insight into the world’s oldest living culture with an engaging experience that introduces the traditions, stories and connection to country of the Yawuru and Karajarri people.

Day 2. History of Broome (BD)
This morning uncovers Broome’s colourful past, beginning with a heritage tramway experience that brings early settlement and pearling stories to life. You will also visit Sun Pictures, the world’s oldest operating outdoor cinema. After lunch at leisure, continue exploring Broome’s history at the cemetery, where the lives of early pearling divers are remembered. The afternoon is spent at spectacular Gantheaume Point, where striking red cliffs contrast against the Indian Ocean and ancient dinosaur footprints may be visible along the shoreline.
Day 3. Broome at leisure (BD)
Today is yours to enjoy Broome at your own pace. A range of optional experiences can be arranged, from a scenic flight over the Horizontal Falls to coastal cruises, cultural tours or four-wheel-drive adventures into the surrounding landscapes. You may choose to visit pearl showrooms, explore local shops and galleries, or simply relax by the pool. As evening approaches, a camel ride along Cable Beach at sunset offers a classic Broome experience for those wishing to add something truly special to their day.
Day 4. Broome wildlife and Staircase to the Moon (BLD)
This morning visit the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and Animal Refuge, home to an impressive collection of wildlife and a fascinating display celebrating Malcolm Douglas’s adventurous filmmaking legacy. Enjoy lunch at an outback roadhouse before learning more about the region’s past at the Broome Historical Museum. Day 5. Broome to Perth (B)
Before departing Broome, visit the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm Showroom to discover the fascinating story of pearling and its enduring influence on the region. After time for lunch at leisure, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Perth, where you will be met and taken home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access.
