Explore the spectacular sights for which Kalbarri is renowned, including the meandering Murchison River, rust-coloured gorges, dramatic coastal cliffs and pristine beaches. Enjoy sweeping views from the Kalbarri Skywalk and a traditional festive feast, with time to soak up sunshine on the Coral Coast.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Cervantes (LD)
We collect you from home and travel to Gingin to visit the Gravity Discovery Centre. Continue to Lancelin for a relaxed lunch at the Endeavour Tavern, then journey north to the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre for an introduction to this unique landscape. Settle in for the night in Cervantes.
Overnight: Cervantes Pinnacles Motel, Cervantes
Day 2. Cervantes to Kalbarri (BD)
Farewell Cervantes and drive north via Dongara, Geraldton and Northampton. Pause in Geraldton to view local sculpture art and the HMAS Sydney II Memorial. Continue to the vivid Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake for photographs before arriving in spectacular Kalbarri for dinner and a relaxed evening.
Overnight next three nights: Kalbarri Edge Resort, Kalbarri
Day 3. Murchison River Cruise (BLD)
Cruise the Murchison River with Kalbarri Wilderness Cruises, gliding past ancient sandstone and spotting birdlife. Hear stories of local geology and early settlers as you enjoy lunch on board. The afternoon is yours to relax at your own pace in Kalbarri.
Day 4. Christmas in July celebrations (BLD)
Watch the pelican feeding on the foreshore before touring Kalbarri National Park. Marvel at the gorges and the meandering river, then step out onto the Kalbarri Skywalk for breathtaking views. Enjoy lunch at the Skywalk precinct and take time for dramatic coastal lookouts. Tonight, celebrate Christmas in July with all the trimmings and festive cheer.
Day 5. Kalbarri to Perth (BL)
Begin the journey south with a scenic run to Jurien Bay for a farewell lunch. Continue to Perth, where we see you home safely.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
