Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Darwin (D)
We collect you from home and transfer you to Perth Airport for your flight north to Darwin. On arrival, settle into your centrally located hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening meal with your fellow travellers.
Overnight 3 nights: Hilton Darwin
Day 2. Discover Darwin (BLD)
This morning’s sightseeing begins with the Darwin Military Museum before lunch. Continue to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory for lunch before viewing the Cyclone Tracy exhibition. In the afternoon, visit the Crocosaurus Cove to see the Top End’s most famous reptiles up close. Later afternoon, board the Spirit of Darwin for a relaxing sunset cruise, dining as the city skyline glows against the tropical twilight.
Day 3. Icons and Markets of Darwin (B)
Our touring today includes a visit to the WW II Oil Storage Tunnels, a stop for morning tea, and a tour of the Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility on Stokes Hill Wharf. Enjoy free time for lunch before strolling through the lush George Brown Botanic Gardens. As the day ends, soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the Mindil Beach Markets, where the scent of sizzling food, colourful art, and local music fills the air as the sun sets over the beach.
Day 4. Free Day in Darwin (BD)
Enjoy a full free day to explore Darwin at your own pace. You may wish to join an optional tour to Litchfield National Park, discover the waterfront precinct, visit the Tiwi Islands or simply relax by the hotel pool. This evening, gather for dinner with your group and reflect on your adventures so far.
Day 5. Darwin to Uluru (BD)
An early morning flight takes us to Alice Springs where we stop for breakfast before travelling by coach to Uluru. Arrive in the late afternoon at Ayers Rock Resort as the sun begins to set, watch the changing colours of Uluru while enjoying canapés. Tonight, share a relaxed dinner — the perfect ending to your first evening in the Red Centre.
2 nights: Desert Gardens Hotel, Uluru
Day 6. Uluru and Field of Light (BD)
Rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Uluru with AAT Kings, then return for breakfast at the resort. The day is yours to explore or join an optional tour to Kata Tjuta or the Cultural Centre. As evening falls, indulge in an unforgettable experience — the Sound of Silence Dinner. Dine beneath the stars, surrounded by the glow of the spectacular Field of Light installation, a vision of more than 50,000 solar-powered blooms lighting up the desert night.
Day 7. Uluru to Alice Springs (BD)
After breakfast, farewell Uluru as we journey north across the vast desert plains to Alice Springs, arriving in the late afternoon. Enjoy a farewell dinner tonight as you share memories of your remarkable adventure through the heart of Australia.
Overnight: DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs
Day 8. Alice Springs to Perth (B)
Dust off the red dirt and bid farewell to Central Australia as we transfer to the airport for your return flight to Perth. On arrival, our team will see you safely home.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
