Day 1. Welcome to Paris (D)
Your holiday starts on arrival into Paris. In the evening, join your Villa Tour leader and fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.
Two nights: centrally located hotel in Paris.

Day 2. Paris, the City of Lights (B)
Today is your day at leisure to acclimatise to European time and pace. Perhaps you would like to visit the Louvre, shop on the Champs Elysse, ascend the Eiffel Tower or take a hop on hop off bus and find yourself in hidden corners of this city of love.

Day 3. Champagne Dreams in Reims (BD)
Travel into the rolling countryside of Champagne. In Reims, admire the magnificent Gothic cathedral, once the coronation site of French kings. Then, enjoy a visit to a Champagne house to learn the traditional methods of production before sampling the celebrated sparkling wine. Dinner will be at a local restaurant this evening.
Overnight night: Holiday Inn Hotel Reims Centre.

Day 4. Journey to Dijon (B)
Continue south into Burgundy, a region synonymous with fine wine and rich history. Arrive in Dijon, the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy and settle into your hotel. This afternoon, join the group for a foodie walking tour and experience the city through taste. Dinner will be enjoyed at the hotel this evening.
Three nights: Mercure Hotel Beaune Centre

Day 5. Discover Dijon (B)
Set out on a full-day in the medieval town of Beaune. Explore this town with a local specialist and visit Hôtel-Dieu with its iconic tiled roof.

Day 6. Explore Beaune (BD)
Join a Local Expert for a tour through Dijon’s historic centre. See the Palace of the Dukes, the Gothic Notre-Dame Church and the city’s colourful rooftops. Have the rest of the day to relax. This evening, indulge in a Wine Tasting and Dinner as a group.

Day 7. Alpine Charms of Annecy (BD)
Travel through scenic landscapes into the French Alps. Arrive in Annecy, often described as the “Venice of the Alps,” with its flower-decked canals and shimmering lake. Join your Tour Leader for an orientation walk through the old town. Dinner will be at a local restaurant this evening.
Three nights: Mercure Hotel Annecy Sud.

Day 8. Exploring Annecy (B)
Enjoy a guided exploration of Annecy’s medieval centre and canals. Take a boat cruise on Lake Annecy, surrounded by mountains and admire the breathtaking scenery. This evening, have dinner as a group at a local restaurant.

Day 9. Mont Blanc in Chamonix (B)
Take a full-day excursion to Chamonix. Ride the Aiguille du Midi cable car for dramatic views of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe.

Day 10. Into Provence: Annecy to Aix-en-Provence (BD)
Journey south into the heart of Provence. Arrive in Aix-en-Provence, a city known for its fountains, leafy boulevards and vibrant markets. Dinner will be at a local restaurant this evening.
Three nights: Hotel Saint Christophe Aix-en-Provence.

Day 11. St Paul de Vence & Avignon (BD)
This morning, stroll with a Local Expert through Aix before travelling to the perched medieval village of St Paul de Vence, beloved by artists such as Chagall and Matisse. Continue to Avignon to see the mighty Papal Palace and the famous Pont d’Avignon. This evening, enjoy dinner as a group at a local restaurant.

Day 12. Aix-en-Provence at leisure (B)
Spend a full day exploring Aix en Provence at your own pace.

Day 13. Along the Riviera to Nice (B)
Follow the glittering Côte d’Azur to glamorous Nice. Stroll along the Promenade des Anglais and explore the lively old town, with its colourful markets and baroque architecture.
Two nights: Indigo Hotel Cagnes Sur Mer.

Day 14. Monaco & Celebration Dinner (BD)
Venture along the stunning coastline to Monaco. See the Prince’s Palace, the Monte Carlo Casino and the famous Grand Prix circuit. Marvel at the yachts moored at the dock and enjoy some entertaining people watching of the very wealthy. Return to Nice for a Celebration Dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 15. Farewell Nice (B)
After breakfast, transfers are provided to Nice airport for your journey home.

Our tour activity levels are a guide to the required fitness level for each of our holidays.


Look out for the feet when reading about a tour!

  • Relaxed

    Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

  • Moderate

    For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

  • Active

    For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

  • Highly Active

    Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

  • Challenging

    For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
