Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Adelaide (D)
You will be collected from home and transferred to the airport for your flight to Adelaide. After arriving, visit Glenelg for lunch at own leisure and enjoy an orientation tour of the city before settling into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Adelaide's nearby museums, galleries and gardens at your own pace.
Overnight: Majestic Roof Garden, Adelaide
Day 2. Hahndorf and Murray River Cruising (BD)
This morning, travel to the charming German-settled village of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills. After exploring its artisanal offerings and quaint streets, journey to historic Mannum where you will board the PS Murray Princess. As the paddle wheeler departs mid-afternoon, relax with a Welcome Dinner and cruise under floodlight to Caurnamont. Keep watch for nocturnal wildlife along the banks as your adventure begins.

Day 3. Cruising the Murray River (BLD)
Start the day with wildlife spotting before enjoying a relaxing cruise upriver to Blanchetown. Pass through one of the Murray’s iconic locks before stopping opposite the township for the night. In the afternoon, visit the red gum-clad Burk Salter Winery for a cellar door tasting before returning for evening fun with the on-board “Murray River Cup”.
Day 4. New Year’s Eve on the Murray (BLD)
Wake up in Swan Reach and spend the morning at the museum or relaxing riverside. After lunch, cruise to Sunnydale where you will experience a classic Aussie Woolshed Show and visit a native wildlife shelter. That evening, celebrate New Year’s Eve with a bush BBQ dinner on the banks of the Murray, complete with entertainment and an optional nocturnal wildlife tour (additional cost $20 pp, bookable on board) beneath the stars.
Day 5. New Year’s Day on the Murray (BLD)
Begin the year with an optional Bush Tucker Breakfast (additional cost $40 pp, bookable on board) or a nature walk. Cruise past towering river cliffs to Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park, where a guided tour unveils ancient Aboriginal rock carvings and stories. Continue along the river to Younghusband, where a scenic tender boat ride is available before a special farewell dinner on board.
Day 6. Barossa Wine and Heritage (BL)
Disembark at Mannum and head for a day of indulgence in the renowned Barossa Valley. Visit Jacob’s Creek for wine tasting and enjoy a gourmet lunch at Saltram Estate’s restaurant, Salters Kitchen. After a scenic drive through Seppeltsfield and Eden Valley, return to Adelaide for your evening flight home to Perth. On arrival, you will be transferred safely home.

Suitable for travellers with lower mobility.
You will be required to embark/disembark coaches, trains and other transport via steps unaided. You must be able to carry your own luggage and walk short distances. Stairs may need to be negotiated at times. Travellers with walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome and those requiring accompanying assistance and/or carer may consider these holidays.

Expect guided walking tours of attractions with occasional inclines and stair climbs, some long days and multiple hotel changes during the holiday. Your accommodation may require access via stairs, a short walk to reach hotel facilities and have showers over baths.
