Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Albany (D)
Celebrate the final days of the year with a scenic journey to Albany. We collect you from home and travel across the Darling Ranges into the Wheatbelt. Stop for morning tea at the Williams Woolshed before enjoying lunch at your leisure in Mount Barker. Arrive in Albany in the late afternoon and settle into your accommodation for a relaxing evening.
Four nights: Ace Accommodation, Albany
Day 2. New Year’s Eve Cruise (BD)
Begin the day with a visit to the Princess Royal Fortress and Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, where you will take in sweeping views of King George Sound and learn about Australia’s military history at the National Anzac Centre. In the afternoon, venture into Torndirrup National Park to marvel at the dramatic coastal formations of The Gap and Natural Bridge. After a relaxing break, prepare to celebrate in style aboard a New Year’s Eve cruise. Enjoy a barbecue dinner and festive fireworks as you cruise along Albany’s scenic waterways.
Day 3. Delightful Denmark (BLD)
Today we head west to the charming town of Denmark. Begin the day with a visit to Recollections of War, home to a vast collection of wartime memorabilia. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the tranquil Lake House, surrounded by gardens and vineyards. In the afternoon, browse the gourmet offerings at the Denmark Good Food Factory, known for its sweets, preserves, and sauces.
Day 4. Darrel Radcliffe’s Sculptures and Mt Barker (BLD)
This morning, enjoy tea and a stroll through the rustic charm of Little Bit of Barker. Explore the historic Old Police Station Museum in Mount Barker before continuing into the Porongurup region for scenic touring. In the afternoon, be captivated by the intricate chainsaw sculptures of local artist Darrel Radcliffe. Return to Albany for your final night.
Day 5. Albany to Perth (BL)
Today we bid farewell to Albany and begin our journey home. Stop for morning tea along the way, followed by a farewell lunch at the Quindanning Tavern. On arrival in Perth, we will transfer you safely home, ending your New Year adventure in comfort.

Suitable for travellers with lower mobility.
You will be required to embark/disembark coaches, trains and other transport via steps unaided. You must be able to carry your own luggage and walk short distances. Stairs may need to be negotiated at times. Travellers with walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome and those requiring accompanying assistance and/or carer may consider these holidays.

Required to walk confidently and unaided.
Expect guided walking tours of attractions with occasional inclines and stair climbs, some long days and multiple hotel changes during the holiday. Your accommodation may require access via stairs, a short walk to reach hotel facilities and have showers over baths.
