Meander your way down to Albany for a delightful holiday uncovering the tranquil bays and treasures of yesteryear. Immerse yourself in the heart of the Great Southern region’s township of Albany and allow the memories to unfold. Spend your days tasting gourmet local flavours as we wind our way through wondrous landscapes, learning intriguing history against the ruggedly beautiful backdrop of the southern coast. From vibrant markets and historic cottages to sweet strawberry farms and dramatic coastal vistas, this journey is filled with charm, culture, and culinary delights.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Albany (D)
We collect you from home and transfer you to our luxury coach for the journey south. Cross the Darling Ranges and travel through the Wheatbelt, pausing for morning tea at the Williams Woolshed. Continue via Kojonup and arrive in Albany in the afternoon, where a welcoming dinner awaits.
Four nights: Clarence on Melville, Albany
Day 2. Albany and Denmark History and Culinary Journey (BLD)
Start the morning at the Albany Farmers Markets, soaking in the atmosphere and sampling fresh local produce. Enjoy morning tea at Ducketts Mill, known for its cheeses, wines, and sweet treats. A delicious lunch follows at The Lake House in Denmark, set in beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon, explore the incredible wartime collection at Recollections of War before returning to Albany.
Day 3. Albany History and Delights (BLD)
Begin with a visit to the vibrant Boatshed Markets before morning tea at scenic Emu Point. Then tour the historic Patrick Taylor Cottage, the oldest surviving dwelling in WA. For lunch, head to Handasyde’s Strawberry Farm to enjoy seasonal produce and homemade delights. In the afternoon, experience a wine tasting at Wignalls Wines before finishing with awe-inspiring views at The Gap and Natural Bridge.
Day 4. Op Shops and Antiques (BLD)
This morning, uncover treasures at Willyung Antiques & Car Collection with a warm cuppa. Continue your op shopping journey through St Vinnies and the Red Cross Op Shop, where quirky finds await. Between visits, enjoy lunch at your leisure and take in a fascinating tour at the Museum of the Great Southern, which brings Albany’s past to life through its interactive displays.
Day 5. Albany to Perth (BL)
Farewell the Great Southern and begin your return journey north. Stop for morning tea in Kojonup before a classic country farewell lunch at the historic Quindanning Tavern. On arrival in Perth, we transfer you safely home, concluding a rich and relaxing regional escape.

Designed for travellers with lower mobility who can manage everyday movement independently. You must be able to embark and disembark coaches, trains, and other transport via steps, carry your own luggage, and walk short distances. Stairs may be encountered at times. Walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome. Travellers who bring a companion to help provide assistance may find these holidays suitable.

For travellers who walk confidently and unaided. In addition to Relaxed requirements, expect guided walking tours that may include gentle inclines and stair climbs, some longer days, and multiple hotel changes. Access to accommodation may involve stairs, short walks to facilities, and showers over baths. Walking sticks are welcome unless the tour includes overnight rail or cruising—please check with staff.

For travellers comfortable with full sightseeing days. Building on Moderate requirements, these tours feature more activities, extended periods of standing and walking, and nature-based excursions. You must be able to walk confidently over uneven surfaces at a steady pace, and negotiate busy transport terminals. Expect feature walks for up to 3 hours, and activities that may include small aircraft, vehicles, vessels and watercraft. Not suitable for travellers requiring walking aids or assistance from others.

Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

For travellers with a high level of fitness and previous outdoor experience. Building on Highly Active requirements, these tours involve full days of physical activity in remote or rugged locations that may be difficult to access. You must be able to walk confidently for 6 or more hours per day over multiple days while carrying a day pack and be comfortable walking in varied weather conditions. Not suitable for travellers using walking aids or requiring assistance.
