Day 1. Perth to Broome (D)
We collect you from home and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Broome. On arrival, enjoy a brief town tour before checking into your resort accommodation. This afternoon you are welcomed with an introduction to the culture of the Yawuru and Karajarri people through storytelling and a guided experience at Town Beach. Settle into Broome’s tropical atmosphere and acquaint yourself with fellow travellers over a shared dinner in the evening.
4 nights at Oaks Town Beach Hotel, Broome
Day 2. History of Broome (BD)
Start the day with a fascinating tram tour, sharing the stories of Broome’s pearling and multicultural history. Afterwards, visit Sun Pictures and enjoy time at leisure for lunch. This afternoon, explore the Broome Cemetery to learn of the divers who shaped the pearling boom, followed by the stunning Gantheaume Point where red cliffs meet turquoise seas. If tides permit, see the famous dinosaur footprints preserved in rock. Dinner is enjoyed back in town with your fellow travellers.
Day 3. Broome at Leisure (BD)
Today is yours to explore Broome at your own pace. You may wish to join an optional scenic flight to the spectacular Horizontal Falls, cruise the turquoise waters on a Broome Adventure Cruise, join a 4WD cultural tour, or visit Pearl Luggers to learn of Broome’s pearling legacy. Alternatively, wander through the shops, galleries and markets or simply relax by the resort pool. As the day draws to a close, consider the iconic experience of a camel ride along Cable Beach at dusk. However you spend the day, your evening concludes with dinner included.
Day 4. Broome’s Wildlife and Staircase to the Moon (BLD)
This morning visit the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and Animal Refuge, home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, wallabies, reptiles and of course saltwater crocodiles. Day 5. Broome to Perth (B)
