Itinerary

Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)

Day 1. Perth to Brisbane (D)
We will collect you from home and transfer you to Perth Airport for your flight to Brisbane. Upon arrival into Brisbane and a short drive to your hotel, you can indulge in a delicious welcome dinner.
Overnight: Brisbane International Virginia, Brisbane

Day 2. Tropical fruit and Byron Bay (BD)
Across the border in Queensland, discover more than 500 fruit varieties at Tropical Fruit World. Sample fresh fruity tastings with a plantation tour before we journey to beautiful Byron Bay where you can enjoy lunch at leisure followed by a visit to Australia’s most easterly point. Return to Ballina via the scenic coastal route.
2 nights stay: The Islander Resort, Ballina

Day 3. The Hinterlands (BD)
This morning journey to Balania-Byron Hinterlands to see Summerlands House, an incredible avocado and macadamia farm. Setting in to the picturesque lands with morning tea before travelling onwards to the lushious Lismore Rainforrest Botanic Gardens. Unwind in the gardens before returning to Ballina for a relaxing resort island dinner.

Day 4. Coffs Harbour (BLD)
Today we are making our way to the iconic Coffs Harbour. Venture to a miniature Dutch village, showcasing a working railway and watch a unique clogg making demonstration. Spend your afternoon making friends with seals and dolphins at the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary before arriving to your resort for a relaxing evening.
2 nights stay: Pacific Bay Resort, Coffs Harbour

Day 5. Grafton (BD)
This morning, travel to Grafton where Jacaranda season is in full bloom, witness the streets and parks transformed into a sea of purple as you walk through famous streets lined with jacaranda trees. Step foot into the Remember When Cottage Museum to uncover rich argricultural diary history, before we emabrace the Grafton Jaccaranda festival. This afternoon admire amazing panoramic views from the Forest Sky Pier with afternoon tea served, before we return to Coffs Harbour.

Day 6. Coffs Harbour to Port Macquarie (BD)
Today we journey to Bowral Folk Museum and Frank Partidge Military Museum to uncover moments in time. Wander through Nambucca Heads to savor lunch at leisure before we travel on to Port Macquarie in the afternoon arriving at our hotel to reside for the evening.
2 nights stay: Waters Edge, Port Macquarie

Day 7. Timbertown and Cedar Creek Goldfields (BD)
Awaken for an exciting visit to Timbertown in Wauchope to ride the steam train, see the bullock display, observe the timber craftsmen at work and smell the coals of the blacksmith. Set amongst 87 acres of natural forest, the entire village has been recreated. Gain an insight into Koalas at the Koala Hospital and Research Centre in Port Macquarie. Enjoy free time this afternoon before meeting for a realaxing dinner at the hotel.

Day 8. Port Macquarie to Port Stephens (BD)
Today we visit Nelson Bay for a spectacular cruise of the headlands and incredible islands. One of Australia’s most extraordinary marine playgrounds awaits! Visit the Port Stephens Great Lakes Marine Park features wetlands and lake systems that are home to diverse wildlife and marine life. Cruise with dancing dolphins, before we arrive to Neslson Bay for a mouth watering dinner.
Overnight: Peninsula, Nelson Bay

Day 9. Port Stephens to Sydney (BL)
For the last part of your holiday, we travel from Port Stephens to Sydney with a morning pit stop at the Dobell House and lunch in Wangi Wangi. Following this you will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your return flight to Perth. Once back in Perth, we will ensure you’re safely returned home.

With such a diverse collection of travel options, we want to ensure you choose the right holiday for you.


Our tour activity levels are a guide to the required fitness level for each of our holidays.


Look out for the feet when reading about a tour!

  • Relaxed

    Suitable for travellers with lower mobility.


    You will be required to embark/disembark coaches, trains and other transport via steps unaided. You must be able to carry your own luggage and walk short distances. Stairs may need to be negotiated at times. Travellers with walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome and those requiring accompanying assistance and/or carer may consider these holidays.

  • Moderate

    Required to walk confidently and unaided.


    Expect guided walking tours of attractions with occasional inclines and stair climbs, some long days and multiple hotel changes during the holiday. Your accommodation may require access via stairs, a short walk to reach hotel facilities and have showers over baths.  Travellers with walking sticks are welcome unless there is overnight rail or overnight cruising - please check with staff.

  • Active

    Requires some fitness. Involves longer days filled with activities, excursions requiring standing and walking for extended periods of time and nature-based activities. You will be required to walk confidently over uneven ground and surfactant at a timely pace.

  • Highly Active

    Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

  • Challenging

    A high level of fitness is required. Tours have an emphasis on active pursuits and often explore remote locations which are challenging to access. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 6 or more hours per day and have experience in outdoor pursuits. No walkers allowed.
