Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to Pemberton (D)
We collect you from home and transfer you to the coach to begin your journey along the scenic Harvest Highway. Our first stop is the Amaze Miniature Park, a delightful spot to stretch your legs and enjoy the intricately crafted displays. Travel through the charming towns of Donnybrook, Balingup, Bridgetown and Manjimup before arriving in Pemberton, where you will settle in for three nights in the heart of the Southern Forests.
3 nights: The Pemberton Hotel, Pemberton
Day 2. Pemberton Tramway & Forest Discovery (BD)
Start your day surrounded by natural beauty at Beedelup Falls, followed by a visit to the towering Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree, a historic fire lookout that offers breathtaking views. Then it is time to board the iconic Pemberton Tramway for a scenic journey through forests and valleys once used by timber railways. After lunch in town, take time to explore Pemberton’s cultural offerings. Wander the main street and view the forest-inspired balustrade artworks of the Pemberton Artscape. Visit the Pioneer Museum, Model Railway Club, or Fine Woodcraft Gallery and enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring this charming town at your own pace.
Day 3. Donnelly River and Manjimup Heritage (BLD)
This morning we set off on a tranquil Donnelly River Cruise, gliding from dense forest to open coastline as you hear tales of the region’s ecology and history. Next, we visit Dingup House, a 150-year-old heritage homestead, for a homestyle lunch and time to stroll the gardens or visit the animals. In the afternoon, a local guide joins us for an enriching coach tour of Manjimup, including the Timber and Heritage Park, revealing the area’s deep-rooted connections to forestry, agriculture and community.
Day 4. Pemberton to Perth (BL)
Bid farewell to the Southern Forests as we make our way north through the scenic towns of Nannup and Balingup. Enjoy a relaxed farewell lunch at the Drakesbrook Hotel in Waroona before we return to Perth, where you will be delivered safely home with fond memories of your forest adventure.
