Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)
Day 1. Perth to Hyden (D)
We collect you from home for the journey to Hyden, stopping for morning tea in Brookton and lunch at your leisure in Corrigin. We also visit the Dog Cemetery and look for the regional wildflowers along the way. Overnight each night: Wave Rock Motel, Hyden
Day 2. Wave Rock and Hippo’s Yawn (BD)
Begin today at one of Western Australia’s most famous landforms, the spectacular Wave Rock. This giant wave of multi-coloured granite will take your breath away. Nearby is the Wildflower Shoppe, Visitor Centre, a wildlife park, Lace Place and a souvenir shop. At your leisure, view the excellent display of West Australian wildflowers, browse the gifts and explore the historic exhibits. In the afternoon, visit historic Wandilla Farm Homestead, famous for its handmade bricks by Italian prisoners of war and the vintage car collection.
Day 3. Lake Grace (BD)
Today, enjoy another full day exploring the scenic countryside. At Tressie’s Museum view gramophones and farm machinery. Travelling towards Lake Grace, we tour the Tin Horse Highway, a fantastic collection of art by the local farmers who have made 100 horse displays from scrap metal.
Day 4. Hyden to Perth (BL)
Today’s journey travels along the State’s Wheatbelt and includes a visit to the Corrigin Pioneer Museum and a farewell lunch in Brookton. Upon arrival in Perth we’ll see you home safely.
